why is it so hard to change people's minds?

i mean, we're all so hard set in our opinions and who we are, it's almost insulting to have someone try to change your mind.

but we all try to do it.

sometimes we're right, and sometimes we're wrong.

i'm right though.
but if this doesn't work out, i'm not going to get too upset about it.
i know who i am, and i know what i'm worth.

i know that i deserve someone who deserves me.
i know that i can make someone happy.
and i know someone can make me happy.
and that's basically what i'm going with for now.

thanks you guys for staying at my house, making a mess then cleaning it up, for all the laughs, jokes, stupid phrases, and constant craziness. it was one hell of a weekend. i can't think of anyone else that i would want to spend another 48+ hours straight with. so, let's do it again sometime. now to the personal notes.

james/jamal/j-mal - so inspiring, as a person, you are. that was a fucked up sentence, but fuck it. i'm glad we formed an instant appreciation for each other and there wasn't a second of awkwardness. the whole weekend was way positive, but fuck the drama we just destroyed the world. so much fun, tbl is the shit. way fucking amazing, keep up the work dude. so fucking good. ilu.

jordyne - i'm really glad you came as well. we didn't talk as much as i would've liked, but i really really appreciated you coming. you seem extremely polite which you don't see too often. i hope you have tons of fun in hawaii and all, that's exciting. you and mat are so adorable, it was really cute seeing you two so into each other. i'm glad you have him, you're lucky! but you know that.

ok, this is weird, considering yours truly, iggy romeu wrote this at the tender age of 11 when i was in sixth grade. anyways, just read this paper because it went in my sixth grade portfolio. (i'll type it in sans any grammatical corrections), here goes!

"Many words describe me. I had to pick the ones that described me most. Energetic, Funny, Wild, those are just a few. I can be very reasonable. MY mind will easily change with a better idea. Give me a few good reasons and my mind is changed.

Characteristics will help describe me more. Slim is one of them. I'm not fat or even chubby. So what I'm saying is I'm in pretty good shape. Another one is handsome. Anyone can figure that one out.

Emotional, emotional, and a ton more emotional. I really show my emotions. When i get really mad 3......2.....1......Blast off. Pretty much the same when I get sad excecpt the Blast off part.

Working at a high-level is very much like me. I like to make things fun and challenging. Also working at a high-level makes things like projects better.

I think my schoolwork (and other things) are superior. I'm not trying to brag or say I'm better than anyone. Still my work is usually superior because of my art and writing skills.

I am pretty smart because I catch on to things fast. I get good grades, but I'm no genius. The bad thing about being smart is that everyone expects something higher from you. Like people expect you to get better grades.

I have lots of self-esteem so I picked great. I like myself, but I'm not in love with my self. I think I'm great even if no one else does. I'm great at drawing, writing, reading, and watching T.V.

I absoultely love to be first in almost anything. Although I don't like to be the first to turn in homework. It is fun to be first in inventing things to. Or being the first person to visit another planet.

And last but not least I am negotiating. If I have an idea and someone else does then I will negotiate to get the best out of two ideas. I like to negotiate because it helps with my social skills.

hey everyone! wow, summer is pretty nice. i'm not sure what to talk about, there's a lot going on. i've been spending a lot of time out with friends. mainly playing a lot of 4square, basketball and ultimate frisbee. riding my bike a lot UNTIL my back tire popped, dammit! i've been buying/listening/creating music. running around naked a lot, just for the fun of it. screenprinting, copying, making flyers, booking shows, all of it. so that's good! i need to play a little indian boy show, and dance and feel some good vibes and have a lot of fun. i wish a lot of you lived in/around kansas so we could hang out. it'd probably been fun. tonight i'm going to this park to roast s'mores with some kids. i have a crush on this girl so i'll probably take her out some time soon. food not bombs this sunday should be interesting. i don't know, i'm happy! i need a job, my bank account is running dry, but who gives a fuck! i can live life without tons of money to spend. i honestly hope everyone is doing ok and having a fun time. for those of you who work, don't work too hard/too much, your friends want to see you. take care - iggy
